I bought a pair of these to use in a video game room - it's a smaller room so I chose not to use regular speakers for space concerns. These speakers came very well packaged, almost completely encased in foam. Included in the package were installation templates, and a user's manual. There was also a packet of white rectangle things - not sure what they are used for, the manual doesn't mention them.

Out of the box, these are good solid quality speakers, everything is well put together, all of the parts are screwed, glued, or strapped down, nothing is loose or rattles. It looks every bit as nice in person as it does in the pictures I've seen on the net. The woofer is really eye catching.

The manual contains fairly detailed installation instructions, including some really good suggestions and pointers. The install was straight forward and went smoothly, running the wires was the most time consuming part. The sound from this speaker is very good - clear, clean and powerful. I played some Rock Band on my PS3 with the volume cranked up and it sounded really really good. I had a grin on my face the whole time. I've heard that silk tweeters can be a bit laid back, but not these, they have plenty of bite so it's not missing any part of the spectrum.

Thinking about getting another pair so that I can complete a 5.1 surround sound setup in the game-room. The price is right, I just have to run more wires and figure out a place to put the receiver.
